Hubert Aouattah is a Belgian film composer working between Los Angeles and Brussels. His music blends orchestral writing with sound design, and he looks for a sound that belongs to each story, often using live instruments in unconventional ways to bring out a film's emotional core.

He trained at the Royal Conservatory of Mons before earning a Master's in Screen Scoring at USC, where he scored short films and formed close creative partnerships with several directors. He won Second Prize at the Chigiana Screen Scoring Competition and has worked as assistant to award winning composer Yves Gourmeur, refining his skills in orchestration and music production.

Since then, he has scored features and shorts for directors across the US and Europe. One of his recent features, Alchemy in Venice, was an Official Selection at the Newport Beach Film Festival in October 2026, where it had its world premiere.
